A beautiful venue, and a beautiful bride helped make this event perfect. The goal was to turn the lofty style venue with wood beams, brick walls, and beautiful wood floors into a winter paradise.
The lighting was the key to achieving this elegance. Up lighting was placed along the perimeter of the room with a snow white lounge area, faux firplace, and white framing drape to create a comfy place worthy of any winter day. A big thank you to the bride for allowing me to use her personal photograph of the day!
I have been going through our photos from 2009 in putting together a new portfolio and found these photos from two events we worked on the at The Foundry Art Centre. I do love this venue.
Amy at Belle of the Ball posted this photo on Facebook. We decorated the Hyatt St. Louis for SynergySTL for the famous Once in A Blue Moon event on New Years Eve.
Belle of the Ball provided the fabulous entertainment, you must check out their website! They are a really talented bunch of cool artists!
This was a fun challenge. We turned an empty storeroom in the back of a corporate client’s office into an outer space, complete with hand made planets and a glowing moon.
Lucky us! We made the Hyatt St. Louis 18th floor HOT for the NYE Blue Moon Party thrown by Synergy LLC.
It was a fast and crazy load in on limited time so we could not gather any photos but here is a quick video of the party in action.
We did the lighting design, decor with shadow boxes, the sound system, lounges and so much more. My favorite, check out the Large 3 D Light up Moon behind the DJ booth!
Thanks so much to Synergy for bringing us to the hottest party in STL on NYE. And check out The super gorgeous Belle of the Ball dancers behind our shadow walls.
A wedding dream come true for everyone!
A lot of wonderful vendors came together to make this gorgeous wedding for a truly fantastic couple and family!

I have been in mini hibernation mode, I do believe it has been the cold weather getting to me. I have not blogged in some time and even my non blog savvy husband and business partner made fun of my recent lack of social media interaction. I figure if he noticed I better add a few photos!
This photo was from the History Museum earlier this year. We love love working at the History Museum! This event had beautiful multi dimensional pink lighting and overhead globe paper lanterns over dinner. This photo courtesy of Burns Photography. After visiting their site it appears they photographed several of our events this year! They do have a wonderful blog too! www.burnsphotographystl.com check them out!
And a big thanks to our friends at Proposing Dreams for introducing us to this event!
Here was a colorful Asian inspired Gala at SLU in early November. I love our dragon so much it is one of my favorite pieces. This room was perfect for it! And thanks to our friends at Contemporary Productions for coordinating such a great event we always enjoy working for them so much. And lastly a peek into the room that held one of the Up In The Air Premier Parties! We were very excited to be a small part of the festivities. Hopefully more movie productions come to our really great city! We provided lounge furniture, the fiberoptic star backdrop for the stage and blue lighting and cloud images.
AH! This was such a cool concept. I will admit at the very first I might have been just a tiny bit skeptical if this would work, but it turned out AMAZING! The bride and groom wanted to really have a creative and different wedding ceremony, the ballroom was not for them. The inspiration for the groom was Kanye West’s Glow in the Dark Tour. Imagine total darkness and the ceremony taking place basked in black light. The venue was the St. Louis Planetarium, guests were ushered in, and seated in darkness. Little did most of them know that directly above them on the balcony a surprise was waiting for them. Space Odyssey was played. Our lighting thumped to the beat. The wedding procession then entered at darkness and the full black light effect popped on to make them glow. After the ceremony the wedding party descended from the balcony to join their guests for the reception in the Planetarium below. We continued the theme by decorating with color changing light up columns around the room, dance floor lighting and a fiberoptic curtain star backdrop.
I feel so lucky we were asked to make this vision come to life for them. It was really the coolest wedding. These photos were supplied by the Facebook page from the bride and groom. Thanks so much!
We participated in the PWG bridal show at Windows On Washington. We also had the opportunity to design the Fashion Show runway for the event. Overhead we draped dramatic black fabric and accented with silver drape and our candle walls on the stage.
